Cavalo Maluco 2009

The “Cavalo Maluco” has already accustomed us to some peculiarities: it is a very intense wine and it shouldn’t be drink while young. To the sides of the “Torrão”, very hot zone by nature, wines that are not for boys are made. Chocolate and herb aroma. In the mouth it is very intense, strong full body, tasty and with persistent end. It is not green anymore. Although it does not reach the brilliance of 2006 edition (in my opinion, the best so far) is not far. Anyway it is a “hard” wine that is not for everyone. Accompany well the strongest dishes you can imagine. The last time I had drunk it, it was in the same restaurant in “Melides” (“Tia Rosa”), to accompany the specialty of the house: duck in the oven with kids rice.
