2 winemakers: Anselmo Mendes and Diogo Lopes, the consulting winemaker and the resident of the “Adega Mãe”, respectively. 2 terroirs: Lisbon and “Monção” / “Melgaço”. 1 caste: “Alvarinho”, of course !!! But do not think you reach it there in a blind proof !!!! No sir!!! The aroma is nothing like the classic “Alvarinho” of “Monção” / “Melgaço”. And in the mouth, exactly the same … Very mineral, very fresh … I would never say that it was “alvarinho” … Despite being 50/50, I would say that the “alvarinho” of Lisbon overlapped that of “Melgaço” … But this is not a criticism! On the contrary. The wine is very interesting. Great indeed. And with a vibrant final acidity. Very well!!! And how good it was with these scallops and with this risotto …
