At “Arruda dos Vinhos”, right in the center of the city, opposite the famous “O Fuso” restaurant, we find a very peculiar wine cellar. By the way, who walks in the street and looks out, nor guess the treasures that are there: It is the “Casa Cavaco”. It was there that I found this bottle (and stayed there more) of the first edition of “Anima”. For those who do not know, “Anima” is a varietal wine, from the Italian caste Sangiovese, the predominant grape variety in the Tuscany region … the caste of the famous Chianti. Because it was not allowed in “Setúbal”, nothing was referenced on the label (as you can see from the images) … not even the production year (hence the designation L4). It is a very mild wine, in the style of Burgundy. This bottle was still good … although the aroma already showed some evolution. In the mouth it is silky and pleasant, and it gave pleasure to drink … the end tells us that its climax has passed … But for those who especially like old wines, surely they will say that it is great !! …
