1836 Companhia das Lezírias Grande Reserva 2015
After the red of “Alicante Bouschet”, this is the first edition of the white 100% of “Fernão Pires” vines (old vines), after all, the traditional caste of the region. Very flavourful aroma, denoting wood of excellent quality. In the mouth the fruit struggles with the wood, but the result, even now, is very pleasant. It is a tasty wine, full bodied, but at the same time fresh, and has a great longevity ahead. I also do not like excess wood in whites (and in reds), but here there is a certain balance, which in the end is pleasant. “Bernardo Cabral” made a great white here!
