Vinha dos Deuses Reserva 2009

What distinguishes in my opinion the pleasure of tasting a wine of other drinks lies in the richness of its own history and the stories around it. I first drank this wine in a very enriching context, in “Folgosa do Douro” at DOC’s restaurant from “chef Rui Paula”, at that time very known by his peers but still unknown on television. In this idyllic environment, on the banks of the River “Douro” in good company was one of the wines that was also in my history and already at the time I found it as this time, now in a more homey environment but also in good company. Complex fruity aroma, in the mouth reveals if spiced, vigorous but with domesticated tannins and an elegant end without edges, a beautiful wine for a good price with the hand of that great enologist of the green wine “alvarinho”, “Anselmo Mendes”.
