Fonte do Ouro Dão Nobre Branco 2015
This year two wines were distinguished with the prestigious epithet “Dão Nobre”. It is a category (exclusive of “Dão”) that is reached when the wines reach 90 points (0 to 100) in the chamber of tasters, according to a recent remodeling of the certification criteria. This year was a red of the “Casa de Santar” and this white of “Nuno Cancela de Abreu”.
85% of “encruzado”, and some “arinto” and “cerceal”. Complex aroma, with fruit, flowers and barrel well present. In the mouth everything integrated, body q.b. and long end … perhaps slightly sweet, which dispensed with. Be that as it may, an excellent wine, which despite being 2015 it’s possible to drink it now! It’s great!
Price 35€. It’s expensive, no doubt, but maybe it’s better than some that are even more expensive …
Just one detail: a little left for the next day. Despite the correct packaging of the bottle, the next day the wine was almost dead, or at least it was nothing like the day before …
