Already well-established project of 2 consecrated figures and unique of our oenology: Álvaro de Castro and Dirk Niepoort. We have followed the wines since the beginning, since the first “Dado” of 2000. In 2005, it was called “Doda”, but in practice nothing has changed.
This is yet another example of how we never know when to open a bottle. This was one of my favorite “Dodas” / “Dados”, and even very young, it was fantastic! Now, when opening this bottle, I notice that the wine has already passed its peak. Color charged, austere aroma to red compote. In the mouth a little heavy, with some evolution and a disappointing final. A feather.
