Phelps Creek “Lynette” Chardonnay 2016

A wine, regardless of the external criticism that gives it more or less qualities, more or less points, becomes special to us when it is drunk in the company of great friends and on particular occasions in life.
Chardonnay grape varietal is certainly not on the list of my favorite varieties, but this wine has long been on my list for its oenological value, but mainly for its sentimental value.
Phelps Creek Lynette Chardonnay 2016 is produced by great friends who don’t need to be around to know that they will always be part of my life.
Made with owner’s grapes, located in Hood River, Oregon, the fermentation was made in new and used French oak barrels.
Straw yellow color, aroma with notes of melon and peach, in the mouth is very balanced, with a striking but enveloping acidity, and a long aftertaste. Very gastronomic, It can be drunk on its own but it also goes well with spicy fish and meat dishes.
Cheers!
